This is not just another city tour. UrbanTOX is about seeing the “real” city, experiencing the DNA of a city, and letting it talk to you by hearing the heartbeat of the city through its residents, food, alleyways and culture.
We love excavating cities, meeting with new people, creating meaningful conversations, and savoring new experiences. We seek a more authentic way to see a destination and we believe that is accomplished through sharing meals and hearing stories from the residents who live there.
Our experiential learning trips look to facilitate personal growth and transformation through immersive cultural experiences. Our urbanTOX Experiences dare you to search for a city’s TOX – its high-mobility human gene, its collective pride, its soul, and worldview – and to see how it is part of a global picture that includes you.
People come to cities seeking new experiences, change, and opportunities for their lives. It’s often easy to visit cities and only see a shell of what’s really inside. UrbanTOX was created to show people a more authentic, deeper side of the city through connection with some of its residents, and through adventures to destinations off the beaten path.
We see our Experiences not as tourist travel, but rather a learning trip; it is one where you are learning from the classroom of the city. We are here to share the beauty that we have found in urban environments and its people with you.
It is our ultimate desire that you will take what they have learned through your experience with us and use it to positively impact the community where you live.

Who We Are
We love cities, meeting new people, meaningful conversations, and eating delicious food. As many of us have traveled extensively, we want to provide a more authentic way to see a destination and we believe that is accomplished through sharing meals and hearing stories from the residents who live there. We are here to share the beauty that we’ve found in urban environments and its people with you.
Many of our friends currently run social businesses or local NGOs here in Bangkok, and 5% of your trip costs will go directly to support these organizations doing great work here on the ground.
The initial concept of urbanTOX sprouted from an initiative created by Patricia DeWit and the Xealots organization in 2011 and has grown into a project that has seen hundreds of participants complete its experiential learning trips.
